This tarantula is named for its striking coloration, with vibrant blue hues on the legs and abdomen, resembling the psychedelic drug LSD. It typically has a leg span of around 12 to 15 centimeters. Haploclastus devamatha is known for its defensive behavior and potent venom, making it a species best suited for experienced tarantula keepers. They are ground-dwelling spiders, often found in burrows or hiding under rocks and debris in their natural habitat. As nocturnal hunters, they prey on insects and other small invertebrates.
