Characteristics:
Size: Medium-sized, with a leg span of around 4-5 inches.
Coloration: Vibrant metallic blue, green, and purple hues with intricate striping on the legs. Juveniles display even more striking colors, which gradually shift as they mature.
Habitat: Arboreal, found in tropical forests, often residing in tree crevices or constructing silk retreats among foliage.
Temperament: Generally skittish but not aggressive; capable of fast movements when startled.
Venom: Mild to moderate; not considered medically significant but can cause irritation if bitten.
Care in Captivity: Requires a well-ventilated, humid enclosure with plenty of vertical climbing space and hiding spots.
Due to its beautiful appearance and active nature, Ybyrapora diversipes is a favorite among tarantula keepers who enjoy arboreal species. However, its speed and sensitivity make it better suited for intermediate to advanced keepers.
